OnlyFans age verification for creators and co-performers
OnlyFans age verification for creators means proving you are an adult with an ID document and a selfie that a reviewer matches. On IntimateFans every performer, both partners of a couple and every collab co-performer, passes this check, reviewed by a person.

Verification
Every serious fan platform checks that its creators are adults, and OnlyFans age verification is the version most people have heard of. The idea is the same everywhere: before you can sell content, you show a government ID and a fresh selfie, and someone confirms that the face, the document and the date of birth line up. This page explains how creator ID checks work in general, how they work on IntimateFans, the OnlyFans for couples style platform built around shared pages, and why the step exists at all.
Why OnlyFans age verification exists
Verification is not paperwork for its own sake. Three separate pressures make it mandatory on any platform that sells adult content.
- The law. In the United States, producers of explicit content must be able to prove every performer was 18 or older when the content was made. Our 2257 statement describes how that applies here.
- Payment networks. Card networks and the companies that process payments require adult platforms to verify creators. A platform that skips this step loses the ability to take payments, which hurts every creator on it.
- Safety. Checking real identities keeps minors off the platform, stops people from uploading content of someone else, and gives a clear trail when a performer asks for content to be removed.
How creator ID checks work on fan platforms
The steps look similar across the industry, even if the screens differ.
- Document upload. A clear photo of a passport, national ID card or driving licence, with all four corners visible and no glare over the name or date of birth.
- Selfie. A photo taken at the time of upload, so the reviewer can compare it with the document photo.
- Review. The platform checks that the document looks genuine, that the face matches and that the performer is an adult.
- Decision. The account is approved, or the creator is asked to resubmit with a clearer photo or a different document.
Some platforms rely only on automated scanning. Automation is fast, but it struggles with worn documents, unusual lighting and edge cases. A human reviewer is slower and catches far more.
How verification works on IntimateFans
On IntimateFans every performer uploads an ID document (passport, ID card or driving licence) and a selfie. A person on our team reviews it, usually within one business day. There is no automated pass that skips the human look.
| Who | What they verify | When |
|---|---|---|
| Solo creator | ID document and selfie | Before payouts are unlocked |
| Couple page, first partner | Own ID document and selfie | When creating the page |
| Couple page, second partner | Own ID document and selfie, own login | After accepting the email invite |
| Collab co-performer | Own ID document and selfie, own account | Before signing the release for a post |
Both partners, every co-performer
A couple page has two performers, and each one is verified separately. One partner cannot verify on behalf of the other, and a shared login is not possible because each partner has their own account and their own payouts. That separation protects both people: if the relationship changes, nobody is left with content they never personally approved. The full setup is explained in how to start a couple page.
Guests are treated the same way. When you add a co-performer to a post, they log in with their own verified account and sign a release by typing their legal name exactly as on the verified ID. The post cannot go live until every co-performer has signed. Read more about that step on our release form page and in the collab planning guide.
When something does not match
Most rejections have simple causes: a blurry photo, a cropped document, an expired ID, or a selfie in poor light. When that happens you are asked to resubmit, and a person looks at the new upload. If a document cannot be verified at all, the account cannot receive payouts and cannot appear in any post. That rule has no exceptions, because one unverified person on a page puts every other creator on the platform at risk. If you think a decision was wrong, write to [email protected] from the email address on your account.
What fans see after you verify
Nothing. Fans see your display name, your bio, your cover, your avatar and your free teasers. They never see your legal name, your date of birth or your documents. Those stay with the verification team. This matters for creators who keep their real identity private, and we wrote a separate guide for anonymous couple pages with practical tips on faces, backgrounds and voices.
Tips for passing review the first time
- Use a document that is not expired and shows your photo and date of birth.
- Photograph it on a dark, flat surface in daylight. Avoid flash, which causes glare.
- Take the selfie with your face fully visible: no sunglasses, no heavy filters, no masks.
- Make sure the name on your account matches the name on the document.
- Each person uploads their own documents from their own account.
Verification is part of moderation, not the whole of it
An approved ID is the first layer. After that, every post, message attachment and profile photo is reviewed by a person before anyone sees it. Known illegal files are blocked at upload and the uploader is banned. A report that someone in a post may be under 18 takes that post offline at once while it is reviewed, and anyone can report from any page without an account. The rules are set out in our content policy.
